Since we have been back from Christmas break we have been focusing on group games. Games that we can all play together, memory, bingo, fishing etc and I noticed lately that the kids are slowing becoming better friends. Their free time is spent more working together, coming up with these great games of imagination! And to listen to them is so fun!! They are just getting along so well. During free time I always set out a few different activities at each table, writing/coloring projects or games or puzzles, but they always have the option of imaginary play in the preschool room. Well lately they have picked imaginary play all together. I even got a few new table activities and they did those for a few minutes but all ended up in here playing together. I see some real friendships starting to form. I love it!!
We hadn't done shaving cream in a long time so I decided to get it out the other day to work on our letter form. We are starting to begin to work on writing our letters. This is something that will be an on going project for them through their first few years of school but it starts here in preschool. We will be going through a four week lesson block of it. I'll be sending home the finished worksheets and so you can help them at home too. Success is practice, practice, practice!!
(sometimes these pretty dressups are hard to just take off!!!)
I'm sorry if those dress up dresses cause you problems with Oakley. She LOVES them and would wear them all day, everyday if I let her. It's very fun for her to get to wear different dresses then the ones she has at home. She tell me about the "Preschool Dress Ups" all the time.
ReplyDeleteNot a problem! We just put them away when they get in the way :)!!
