Week 2 Highlights: Friendship

Another good week here at school!  This week we focused on Friends.  We are all different and that is what makes us great!  We painted ourselves some friends, aren't they so cute in their painting shirts! (Well not all of us wanted paint shirts...)

We made friendship necklaces...and might have eaten a few in the process :)!
While I couldn't find it at our great local library, the book, Friends of Many Colors, we did talk about it! We talked about how everyone is different, we have different hair,  different eyes and different talents.  But together we make school fun.  When we all play together we can have fun activities, play a game of basketball, have a good game of imagining! Just like fruit loops, they are all different and when we put them all together, they look so pretty (and maybe taste so yummy). And we wont mention that this was an educational activity to the kids, great fine motor skills activity!!

Now on to our gross motor skills...A friendly game of basketball.

The kids had so much fun sharing their posters.  They were so funny.  They all wanted to share at the same time and were so excited to show everyone their family!!  I'll send these home in couple weeks when we are all done enjoying them!

During morning free time I try to offer different enrichment activities at the table.  They are always welcome to just play, it is called free time but I try to offer some more structured educational actives for those kids that want it! So this week, was counting (fine motor too) and hand eye coordination (also fine motors).

    1. Oh and are you planning to do any costume or Halloween thing this year even though Halloween isn't on a preschool day?
