We planted our own corn garden in the shape of an Ll for the Little red Hen. After we planted her garden, we got some corn flour and made corn muffins!
Such great cooks!
I think they liked 'em :)!!Fishing for letter practice. One goldfish if they could tell me the letter they caught. Two goldfish if they could tell me something that starts with that letter and three goldfish if they could tell me the sound of the letter they caught...
By now the kids should know at least half of the letters to Ll. If you feel like you child isn't remembering their letters there are so many good resources. An Apple app I LOVE is ABC Tracer, it wont show me how much it is because I already have it on my phone, but it's great. There is a free version so you can try it if you want. It's does letters, numbers, site words, songs and just drawing. It's my favorite! Flash cards at the Dollar Tree are great too. Just let them play with them, get them familiar with the letters. Starfall.com is a fun website. It has lots of little reading games and cute stories. Last but not least YouTube. I love kidtv123, they have cute little videos that for whatever reason kids love and they aren't as annoying as most children artists :)!! If the kids are really good during preschool I let them watch a video while they are eating lunch! They love it. My niece who is two, can hardly talk but she knows every letter (lower and uppercase) and it's sound because she LOVES their Phonic Song 2! It's the cutest thing to quiz her!! Anyway there are tons of resources out there if you want an extra little push to help your kids. I do what I can in the 3 hours I have them but consistency and repetition is the best way for them to succeed and get ready for Kindergarten.
