Back to School...

Thank-you for coming to open house night, it was fun to see you all and get to meet the fam! This blog I will update each week with a few pictures and highlights from our week.  I have it set up that each week when I post it will email you so you don't have to remember to check the blog each week.  I can't think of anything else!! We will see you all Tuesday morning at 9AM!

For those of you that couldn't make it or just a reminder of our day here is the paperwork I passed out tonight:

Let’s play a little game of I spy!!

o   I spy the basket where I put my shoes-each morning my door will be unlocked at 8:55, please walk right in! You are welcome to walk your child in and help them start their day or just kiss them goodbye at the door.  Whatever works best for you kiddos!

o   I spy my name on the sign in sheet-Each morning initial next to your child’s name that they are here. You don’t need to sign them in and out; this just marks attendance for me. (put a star next to your name)

o   I spy my name on my hook- each day your child is asked to bring a lunch.  They each have a hook with their name on it where they can hang their lunch, backpack and coat.

o   I spy my journal at the big table- each morning we begin our day at the big table (kitchen table) drawing in our journals. This is a good way for them to transition and wait for all the kids to arrive! Please text me (503-329-3332) if you are going to be absent or late so we know not to wait for ya J! (find two stickers and put them on the front of your journal)

o   I spy the parent message board- if I have any announcements I will put them on this board.  Please check it each day as you pick up your child. (can you see your name? Circle it!)

o   I spy the brown rug where we will have circle time-after journals, comes circle time.  This is a time we say good morning, do calendar, sing songs, talk about our day and get motivated to learn!!

o   I spy my box where I will keep my papers for mom and dad-each child has a box, I will stick anything that needs to go home in their boxes, so be sure to check it from time to time! (Pull out your school calendar in your box!!)

I am excited for this year to begin.  We have a great class this year.  I will apologize in advance that my house may not always be sparkling clean, my hair may some times be frazzled and maybe my clothes a bit wrinkled…but know that I love these kids and they will have a great year of learning!
