Then we had a great day on Tuesday and did our letter V read our V books, switched out our flash cards, sang our songs. Then after preschool I was talking to Cali and how busy Costco was and we were both wondering why and I said, OH Easter is this weekend! And in my head I thought, OH crud Easter is this weekend, this week was Easter crafts! That will teach me to ALWAYS look at my lesson plan even if I think I remember everything ;)!! We'll just pretend we didn't do V yet! And we got all our cute Easter things in on Thursday and the kids even said, this was the funnest day of preschool...so I think I'm good! I think I am covered!
We painted Easter eggs. |
We matched our lower and upper case letters. Love these faces :) |
Enjoyed music time. Do as I'm Doing... |
So this was our fun science experiment I adapted from Little Bins, Little Hands. I think the kids liked it just because it involved water...what's with kids and water? We first took hypothesis' on our 4 items, beads, pom-poms, quarters and marbles:
- When dropped in the water will they sink or float?
- When put in an egg will it make the eggs sink or float?
- Pop-poms float and when put in an egg, still float!
- Marbles sink and when put in an egg, they float!
- Marbles sink and when but in an egg, they float!
- Quarters sink and when put in an egg they sink the egg!
What is going on in this picture below you ask? Well...the lunch volume was a little higher than usual (pre-Easter excitement?) so I decided to turn on some music which usually gets them calm because they want to listen or sing along...well guess what song came on next on my "kid play list"?
FROZEN...which prompted a DANCE PARTY apparently!! Well I couldn't stop it...I didn't have the heart, it was too cute to see all the kids stand up in their chairs, sing at the top of their lungs and DANCE!! Oh man, melt my heart...love these kids.
Oh, side note: Speaking of melting my heart, the kids were talking about the baby in my tummy and someone asked what her name was...I told them we didn't have one yet and asked if anyone had any good ideas. I started writing them down cuz it was cracking me up. Here you go: Elsa (surprise, surprise, Cora, Princess, Zippy, Cinderella, Anna (again, shocker!), Olivia, Lona, Doggy (ummm...), Lisa, and last my not least Frozen!!! Any votes for any of those :)?
