Week 29: Yy is for Yellow Yarn

Our yellow yarn project was fun...the kids like cutting and it's great fine motor skills!
Continuing on with this months camping thing we made s'mores in the toaster oven then ate the around the fireless fire pit (I wasn't too sure how a fire and 7 preschoolers would go...). The kids LOVED the s'mores!
Those are some happy campers :)
On Thursday we had a water relay, we were missing a few kids so we opted to have just one team & time ourselves and see how fast we could be!!! We're pretty fast :)

Week 28: Xx is for...

Xx is for; not a lot of things...lucky for us X fell on the week of Mother's Day so we could just make our X pictures and then focus on our MOMS :)!! To make our X pictures, we used painting tape, taped off an X and started sponge painting! Then when we were done, we peeled off the paint and magically there was an X :)!!
Hop-Scotch!
So the theme for May is Camping.  Which means we'll talk a lot about animal, fire safety and the great outdoors of Oregon.  We went on a bear & deer hunt, went "camping" (here we are in our tent) and we've been reading books about the animals of the forest!! A fun unit to do and perfect lead into summer time!
Here we are working on our "secret" project...I hope these all made them home safe and sound :).  I thought the kids did a good job on their flowers! So sweet!

Happy Mother's Day to you all!

I hope you know I think you are all wonderful moms.  I know each of our families are unique and special and I love our differences!  I really appreciate all of your support, I feel it and I am so grateful for your beautiful kiddos that I get to teach and watch grow.
I hope you have a beautiful weekend with your families!!
