Rr for Rainbow

The kids' rainbows turned out adorable!
And so did our pot of gold.  I didn't plan for Rr to be the week before St Patrick's Day and Ss to be the week OF...but I'll just pretend I did and take the genius credit for it!!
So many cute St Patty's Day projects we got to tie in these 2 weeks.
We played count the raindrops, we talked about the rain and rainbows, sang about the rain and ironically this was a sunny, sunny, beautiful week! But I didn't mind...I'll take the sun any day!

Week 21: Rr is for Red

Rr is for red!  I found all the things in my craft buckets that were red and we started gluing!! It was fun! The girls of course wanted to make their R's have tiaras and bows!!  Just what ever thing needs right!?!?
Ready for story time...Hey, do you see a new little face here :)? This is our new friend that will be joining us for the rest of the year! We are lucky to have another boy with all these girls!

 Rocket making adventure...
The itsy bitsy spider climbed up the water spout...I love the faces kids make :)!!!

Week 20 updates: Rr is for Rainbow Fish

Since last year we made Rainbow fish, I opted to not make them again and just focus on the rainbow part! And am I having fun with it :)!  What a fun unit to do!
Some times being a bad mom can come in handy...you see last year I forgot the dye Easter eggs with my kids, but I still had the dye!  So I made it up this week and made tye dye shamrocks and rainbow letters! We made rainbow crayons and played rainbow letter match!
I know it's a bit early for St. Patrick's day but it seems St. Patrick's and Easter are like a week apart and since we were on rainbows I figured it was a perfect time for shamrocks!  I had only cut out one shamrock for each person, however they loved doing it, I had to cut out another batch! It was fun!!
It's time to get out our St. Patrick's workbook.  It has lots of fun things to do and a great thing to break out during free time.  It gives me a good chance to work a little one on one with them and check their skills!  It's a cute packet I found online, I wish I still had it Pinned, but I believe it was from Confessions Of A Homeschooler, she always has the cutest packets!!

You know the book if you give a mouse a cookie...well that is how I felt looking for this St. Patrick tot pack.  I knew I had it somewhere so I started looking for it.  Which got me to clean out bucket after bucket.  Because I dumped them out, it left crumbs everywhere so I had to vacuum.  While I was vacuuming I decided to move few things so I could vacuum under neath them.  When I was putting them all back I decided maybe it would look good to rearrange the room a little.  Well long story short, the preschool is a little rearranged, well dusted, vacuumed, more organized and there is a giant box of donations now sitting in my garage, but I found the tot packet I was looking for and the kids had fun with it!
