Ff is for fall, flowers and fish

We went on a hunt for fall leaves!  We found yellow, brown, orange and red leaves! So pretty! And then we made some leaf rubbings!  I loved them!
This was our fish math game.  You had to match the numbered fish with the number of bubbles...they did pretty good at finding their matches!
 Another fish game...fishing for letters...
This was suppose to be Thrusday's flower craft, but since we had a "snow" day I let the kids do it during free time, if they wanted to the following week.  I've been saving caps forever...I wasn't going to let them go to waste!!!!
 FUN!!

Week 8: Ff is for Frog Feet

I think the kids had fun making their frog footprints on their letter Ff.  This has been a fun unit on creepy crawlers...so many fun things to do with bugs!!

And I am happy to report that kids seem to be liking each other and getting along for the most part...I love the girls and their morning hugs...they crack me up!

The boys during free time wanted to be bugs! Cute! I love it!
This is always my most favorite sensory activity because the kids love shaving cream! What's not to love!?!?  Here we are drawing our bugs in our shaving cream!!
Something we just started this week is patterns.  What are patterns and how do they work?
ABC matching game.  I teach the kids "every letter has a friend" so this game is to help each letter find their friend.  So we only to the letters we have learned so far so as the year progresses we will add more matches!

 Finding more bugs!!

Here is my letter journal we have started, just to give you an idea with your kids' letters.  I still have extra notebooks if you need one!  I put them in page protectors, but you don't have to, you could just hole punch each page and put it in!  But I love how it's turning out :)!!

Week 8 updates: Ff is for Fish

Along with learning our alphabet we are also working on patterns and our writing skills this month!  Each morning we will have a different paper that will help us with this...
We did this last year and I really think it helped the kids fine tune some of those letters!!

The book we read this week was One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue fish.  We took our gold fish and made some patterns with them and then of course had a snack!!
More patterns during free time and then craziness for art time :)!! Oh how kids love shaving cream!
I think this has been one of my favorite art projects to date.  How cute are they!?!?

And how Cute are these preschoolers!?!?
