Hh is for Humpty Dumpty

Our hand print wreaths turned out so cute...

 And our Christmas games were fun...

But our Humpty Dumpty day was the best!! So I gave each of the kids an egg, what is it about holding a very fragile egg that's so exciting, and they got to put him up on his wall! And that darn Humpty fell every time (I guess I better do some baking today)! We had to glue him and bandage him all up!!

Then we made our very own Humpty's (sorry, forgot to take the "before" pics) and put them on the wall.  We used tape and were sure that he wasn't going to fall!! We thought for sure he would be safe, but low and behold when we came out to the kitchen after music time...they all fell!! And they all broke!!  Good thing I have a Costco sized box of band aids  :)! FUN DAY!!

And thank you all again for being so supportive and understanding about next week! What great preschool families I have :)

Week 10: Hh is for holes

Happy birthday buddy...we have another almost kindergartener!!

Live & learn Miss Kelli...hole punches are really hard to squeeze when you're 3 and 4!! Oh well, we had fun!!

Picture on left is our ABC bag. Each week I feel the bag with items that begin with our weekly letter. Hand. Hat. Hearts. Horse. Hippo...each week I pick a different friend who is in charge of the ABC bag! It's always a highlight!

Week 10 updates: Hh if for Hats For Sale

Ok so I cheated a little :)!! The book is Caps for sale but we kinda changed it to hats for the week!! I'm allowed those changes right?!? I had a cute unit on this book but already had my "Cc" planed too so HATS for sale it is!!

This week we talked about color site words.  They were given white paper with hats on it.  Each hat had different colors written on them.  The kids had to figure out the color and color it right...for the most part they did pretty good, I think they are starting to figure out those color words!
We also talked about hats in our community, who wears what kind of hat and all the different jobs these people might have.

Matching letters | Matching colors | Matching numbers

We continue to work on our letters.  Matching upper case to lower case and learning the sounds.  The kids are getting pretty good at both.  Another thing you can reinforce at home is following directions.  We have been playing Simone Says and have been following Miss Kelli's patterns. For example, I clap my hands 2 times and then my knees once, then claps ones, I make some pattern and they repeat after me.
