Mm :)

These moons were messy...so of course the kids loved making them!! White paint with some four mixed in to the consistency of cottage cheese (in case you ever want to make a moon) and then push a round lid into your paint (water bottle or paint lid) and make some craters! Easy!

Mm is for Mitten Matches and Mitten Math!  Mitten Math was a little harder than I thought it was going to be, but after a few minutes they all got the hang of it.  They had to roll their die and then put that many mittens on their place mat.  If they got it right they got a sticker on their mat :)

Week 15: Mm is for Money

On Tuesdays during morning circle time we introduce a new letter by having our "ABC helper" pull some items out of our ABC bag that start with our letter to the week.  I enlisted my kids' help Monday night on this one and they scored big and drew pictures to help :)!  Micky Mouse, mermaid tail, monkey, microscope, magnet, marble, milk, mailbox, motorcycle, marker, mad face, matching and mice. Then we do calender and talk about our numbers.  We talk about what number comes before and after another, counting and each numbers name.  The kids are getting good at this!  Then sometimes we are just silly...not sure where the Harry Potter glasses came into play...he just looked too cute to not take a pic :)!!
Free time!

Music Time!! ...Monkey's jumping on the Bed.  Monkey's Swinging in the Tree. Monkey See and Monkey Do....MMM

Here is our letter Mm: Money.  We worked on our cutting skills.  Don't be afraid to give your kids scissors at home (while sitting with them at the table of course!!!) and just let them cut scrap paper! It's good fine motor skill development and a needed skill for Kindergarten!
I'm not sure what prompted this...an under the table tea party!! It was the cutest thing, they all were involved and I hated to break it up so I let it cut into music time for a few mins.  They were being so cute!!
We had another birthday! I think we had every preschool birthday in Dec/Jan, except one!
Enjoying their birthday treats...silly kids!

Week 15 updates: Mm is for If you Give a Moose a Muffin

After we read If You Give a Moose a Muffins we played this muffin math game.  I would put  a number on their place mat and then they had to find that many muffins and put them on their plates!  If they got it right, they got a sticker!  They went home today so feel free to play with them.  You can easily make it more challenging by doing consecutive numbers.  Say they just did 4, then put the #5 on there and tell them they already have 4 how many more do they need...easy jump start into math :)!
And lucky us our friend brought us muffins to EAT!!  Yummy...
Here is our moose hat making day.  What is it about paint on our hands that is so funny :)!?

Ummm...good thing I buy washable paint...

Are these the cutest moose you have ever seen!?!?
 FREE TIME FUN!!
I had strawberries on my counter and I guess they looked to good to everyone...I'm nice, I share!
