Week 19: Pp is for Popcorn

Ooops this got typed up but I guess I never hit "publish"...sorry :)!

Happy birthday to this little man!  And this is the last of our birthdays, I can't believe everyone's birthdays were all wrapped up in a couple months!
So this week was the letter Pp...P is for puzzles, pony, pigs, puppies, Popsicle sticks, yes that's a baked potato (left overs from last night!!) and pumpkin.
P is also for popcorn!!!
We (all THREE kids) got to make our very own popcorn!  I let them each do one of the steps (yes my daughter is still in her PJs...don't ask!), then we sat back and let Miss Kelli do the cooking part!

Here is our "popcorn" trees.  We talked about and looked at pictures of "popcorn" trees.  We talked about how it's not really popcorn...they are really blossoms but look a lot like popcorn!!  And we of course sang, Popcorn Popping on the Apricot Tree :)

Week 18 updates: Pp is for Popcorn

Have you ever played Ele Fun? It's a fun game!
We read lots of books on popcorn! And we happen to eat lots of it too :)!!

We also made puppy and princess, puzzle picture frames...Okay, all those P's were actually an accident! I was just shooting for the P for puzzles.  I actually was going to glue them together and then let the kids paint them but I thought they were WAY too cute to paint.  The girls loved the princess puzzle pieces and the dog ones were fun too...so we didn't paint as planed but I think they are way cute!!

Here is out Pp is for Popcorn picture...
As we are almost finished with the alaphabet we continue to work on our past letters.  Here we are trying to match animals to their letters!! (Yes my daughter is in her pjs!! Here favorite thing to wear...a girl after my own heart!)
