Week 1 Highlights: All About ME!

The first week of school couldn't have gone any better I believe.  Everyone was so happy and played so well.  I think we all had fun!  This week the focus was on ourselves.  We talked about how we are all the same in many ways and different in many others.

Books we read this week were:
I'm Gonna Like Me, by Jamie Lee Curtis
I like Myself, by Karen Beaumont
Parts, by Tedd Arnold (one of my all time favs!)
Chrysanthemum, By Kevin Henkes
Quick as a Cricket, by Audrey Wood

Here is everyone making themselves!  They all laid down on top of their paper while we outlined them, then they got to draw their clothes, their hair and face!

I'm always grateful for a little sunshine! I think the kids were just as happy and grateful that we could have free time outside.  We got out a sensory tub which was a big highlight and so was soccer!
